Carnauba Wax (Brazil Wax, E903) is a 100% natural vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian 'tree of life'. The high melting point of this wax results in many applications in the food industry. Supplied as yellowish brown flakes.

How is Carnauba wax manufactured?
In the Brazillian dry months the leaves are cut using long poles with an attached cutting device. The leaves are then sun dried and thrashed, once the desired moisture content has been acheived they are exported to the USA for further manufacture.
